The yard

In 1999, K&M Yachtbuilders acquired a yard with 30 years experience of building aluminium yachts. This valuable experience combined with the fresh air that Eeuwe Kooi, the new owner, brought with him, has made K&M Yachtbuilders a young and innovative business.

K&M Yachtbuilders specialize in the building and finishing of aluminium custom-built sailing yachts. We also supply aluminium hulls for sailing and motor yachts up to thirty metres length. K&M Yachtbuilders also build and maintain aluminium structures for onshore and offshore equipment. We build aluminium parts for Royal Huisman Shipyard and De Vries Feadship.

This market segment requires high quality standards. Our shipbuilders, carpenters and marine engineers have proved time and again that they can deliver the goods.

Our modern yard is located in the village of Makkum at the IJsselmeer. You can even reach us by boat! You are cordially invited to come and visit the yard. We would be more than happy to show you around.
