The Bestewind 50 (50 feet, 14,96 m, GRP) is a real eye-catcher with robust, classical lines, a straight bow, an overhanging transom and a pilothouse. A fast and serious sailing yacht of a timeless and classical appearance, at an attractive price. She is designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and based on the Bestevaer II, Gerard Dykstra his own aluminium custom-built sailing yacht. The Bestewind is made of polyester.
The transom has a collapsible swimming platform and a gate which offers an easy way through to the cockpit. As all halyards are led aft from the mast, the deck remains uncluttered and neatly arranged. The Bestewind 50 is easily sailed by a couple.
