This Hoek Design Naval Architects 65ft ‘Weatherly’ is built in 2002. A beautiful wooden yacht, shipped from the USA last winter by its new owner. Our yard will be refitting the yacht quiet extensively. Amongst others, we’ll install a bow thruster, heating, new nav/comm equipement and a new engine. The hull will be painted as will most of the interior which is a lot of high gloss wood currently. New fresh upholstery is needed and some detailing in the interior styling needs updating. Also, the outside will probably be wrapped with a foil.

Weatherly  was designed by Hoek Design specifically for single-handed sailing and achieved the highest speed possible from a 65-foot boat. To meet these ambitious targets, this deep-draught boat has a displacement of just eighteen tonnes – equivalent to that of a Volvo 60! No option was left unexplored in the effort to keep the boat as lightweight as possible, and she was built in West epoxy with carbon spars, 3DL sails and a carbon rudder.
